Today is the Day!

So it's mother's day. The day when mother's all around the nation get the appreciation they deserve. At least in my household. :) I love my mommy. She is the best of the best. I don't know what I would do without her. She is a wise woman and I look up to her in every way. I hope I can one day be as good of a wife, mother, woman, and believer as she is. :)

So the other day, I had a long talk with my mommy. It's nice to have someone who will listen to what you have to say and give you solid advice on the frustrations you have. Sometimes you just need someone to help you sort out your thoughts and mommies are real good for that. :)
Oh and it was especially nice to see my lovely sister today. I miss her all the time. She is such an amazing sister. I just wish I saw her more. Sister talks are vital. I cant wait to have her more next year. Yay for living with her next year. :)
Well at this very moment I am sitting with my baby dog, Snickers, as he snores steadily at my side. I love him so much. And he loves Frisbees :)
Well as of right now I can think of nothing other to say. Other than I love my job. :)

Spanish word of the day: Adios!

Quote of the day: "Draw me nearer Lord. Never let me go. Closer to Your heart. Draw me nearer Lord." - Merideth Andrews

Bible Verse of the day: Check out 2 Samuel 6. :)

"Would you like to make that a double dip today?"

So here are some pictures I took whilst we were at prom :) Just thought I would share them.

Mi clase. :)
The Besties.
So here's the deal: I truly love my friends, my family, and my Jesus. He's the most amazing of all. At this very moment I am drinking coffee and watching American Idol. I just love the gift of singing God gives to us. I could listen to people sing all day long (so long as it is good singing that is). Have I mentioned how much I love my life? I mean it's not perfect, but God has blessed me with a pretty amazing life.

School has been pretty boring. Not gonna lie. But I still have all my amigos that I love so its all good. (23 more days!!!) But really I am just pretty much ready for it to be over with. The last month is really really boring. Besides I am super excited for college. I cannot WAIT to see my sister more. :)

Oh so I drive now. Is that weird or what? I never thought I would actually start driving. But I am now. And oddly I love it. :) Really I do. Oh and I love my job. I honestly do. I love the people that I work with AND the people I serve. I just really hate making shakes. So if you come to Braums and I am working DON'T ORDER A SHAKE!!! Just kidding, they aren't all that bad. Oh and my work name is "Snowflake" (because I am white or something like that). I think it fits me pretty well :) I love the environment at Braums. People are always so nice when they are in the mood for ice cream. It just makes them happy. Which makes me happy :) Oh and just so you know, the goal of Braums is to make you fat. Yes, it truly is. You see we are forced to push double-dips (hence the name of my blog) and you would not believe how many people actually say yes when you ask them if they would be interested in a double dip. Rather interesting. :)

Well I can think of nothing other to say other than I love me some Jesus. :)

Footprints in the dirt

It has been over a week since my last blog... sad. But its all good because I shall explain my last week in this one blog. Let me start with my yesterday:
After taking my sickly little kitty cat to the vet in the morning, my Aunt Sharon and my awesomeness cousin Rosie, picked me up to do a little prom dress shopping. It was pretty awesome, not gonna lie. I found a couple dresses that I was rather fond of, but unfortunately they were a bit out of my budget (I guess I have expensive taste) :/ But anyways, even though I didnt get a dress of my own, I had a pretty epic day with the Cuz :)
Ok, now to explain my absolutely perfect vacation:

Friday: We left in the very early morning to drive to the airport, where we grabbed some starbucks (of course) and hopped on a plane headed to Arizona. Once we arrived at our destination, we made our way some food: Fudruckers in this case, where we stuffed our faces with delicious hamburgers and took some pretty epic pictures.

Me and Nat
Aren't they just so cute together?? :)
We then made our way to walmart:

I had been desperately in search of some Circus Animals because Ericka has been torturing me for weeks telling me how amazing they are. Unfortunately, they only had a ginormous bag of the delicious cookies, so I had to leave without them (hence the sad face).
After the epic walmart experience, we headed over to the mall where me and Nat got to try on some pretty dresses.

Finally, we made our way to my Aunt Cherie and Uncle John's house to eat some delicious food and settle in for the week.

Saturday: After spending a relaxing morning taking our time getting ready for the day, we went with Uncle John to explore a bit.

This is probably on the top ten of my list of favorite pictures we took.
Along our little walk down the trail to see the San Francisco Peaks, we took some pretty awesome pictures, of which this is one.

God has really blessed me with a pretty awesome sister. I have no complaints :)
I truly love this picture as well. Do let me explain: It all started with season 8 of American Idol (the most amazing show ever!) and a contestant named Danny. We call this face the "Danny face." You can pretty much only understand if you are or have at one time been an American Idol addict. "Somebody's not likin' it!" - Danny
Later that day we made our way with Aunt Cherie to the marvelous city of Jerome.

Me and Aunt Cherie
One of the older buildings in Jerome.
While we were there we got to watch a glassblower make a pear. It was really pretty epic.
Oh and then we got some amazing fudge :)
And headed back to the house as we watched the sun fade into the mountains. It was breathtaking.
Sunday: As any other Sunday goes, we went to church with my Aunt and Uncle and afterwards made our way to some of Aunt Cherie's close friends.

They had two basset hounds that were just oh so adorable.
It made me miss my little puppy waiting for me back home.... (luckily, I now have him with me again) :)
We were first served delicious horderves (not quite sure of the spelling of that)..
Then the main dish: Paella. Never before have I tasted anything so delicious... it was truly amazing. :)
Monday: The four of us made our way up to the city of Flagstaff, where the San Franciscan Peaks are. After taking a detour on accident, due to the GPS, and going more than an hour out of our way, we arrived in the snow covered city just in time for some lunch.

World's best pizza:
We then visited the town mansion, which is now a state park. It is over 18,000 square feet and absolutely gorgeous.

Tuesday: We drove to the town of the Red Rocks (Sedona) where we first stopped at the Sliding Rocks State Park. Basically it is a part of a canon that consists of large boulders in the water that you can slide down the river on... We did not get in the water, however, because it was a bit too chilly for that, but we did walk around the edges on the boulders and took quite a few amazing pictures.
Senior picture?
See what I mean?
Superwoman!!
Climbing the rocks...
Jumping picture :)
After a quick lunch break, we decided to go on a little hike up the mountain. There were only a couple trails to choose from close to the airport and we were going to walk the shortest one. Well somehow or another we ended up on the longest one (4 1/2 miles, with some serious incline). Being unprepared as we were, we had no water with us and we had no clue just how long the trail was we were on. Needless to say I almost stole some water from some older ladies we passed on the way... :)

The terrain we walked on during our hike.
I must say that even though the hike was difficult at times, the view at the top of the mountain was incredible and made the trip worth every bit of pain it caused.
Wednesday: Time for some real scenery at the Grand Canyon (not my favorite place, but it is still beautiful). This is the first time I have seen it with snow and let me tell you, it made it even prettier than before.

See what I mean?
We saw a little squirrel :)
You can't tell me that is not breathtaking.
Thursday: After a bit of a crisis at the house, us girlies made our way to the square of Prescott (where we had been staying) to do a little souvenir shopping. After we had found all the gifts we were after, we headed back to the house to make the snacks for our party that night. Thursday night was pretty much the best. I love meeting new people and hearing all the interesting stories they have to tell.

Friday: It was time to make our way home after the most amazing vacation ever through a very angry storm (we had quite a bit of turbulence). It is good to be home, but I miss my amazing relatives. I can't wait to make my way back to Arizona again... maybe this time on a road trip??

Spanish word of the day: Hablidades (skills)

Quote of the day: "Two brunettes and a blonde with an inseperable bond" - Whitney. Needless to say I miss my two best friends and can not WAIT to see them tomorrow! :)

Scripture of the day: "For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise." - James 3:12
I love church. It's such a good way to start off the week. :)

I'm a proud square Jake!

So here are some of the pictures we took Saturday. Do let me explain the meaning of all this madness:
1st Stop: Montanas
So here are the boys: Johnny Boy, Nick, and Kyle. For some reason, of which I am unsure of, Whitney was shoving them together. Show the love. :)
Then we girls made our way to the bathroom as we were heading out the door, for some lovely bathroom pictures, of course. :)

2nd Stop: The beach
So as we walked along the pier, we noticed a poor little fishy dead in the rocks. Lesson learned: never swim in Granbury's lake. It is so disgusting a fish couldn't survive in it. Gross.
Lovely picture of us girlies together on the pier :) I love having such amazing friends.
3rd Stop: The park
So when we arrived at the park, we girls had to use the "Little Girl's Room" once again, and as we were walking out, we noticed Nick and Johnny Boy on the seesaw.... interesting.
Seeing how much fun they were having, we decided to try it for ourselves. :)
4th Stop: The Other Park
The tire swing is my new best friend. Just saying...
5th Stop: Braums Baby
We have decided that if Jesus was a toilet paper, He would be Charmin because "less is more"... Dont ask..

"I scream, you scream, we all scream for Frozen Yogurt!!"
To end the day:
So after we had our little concert at mi casa and everyone left the house, I got to hang out with my lovely Cousin at the Rodeo. Fun stuff. I am so glad I have her for the time being. She is such an amazing cousin and friend. I love her to pieces. :)

I am like Negative cute squared

So I figure it is time for another blog since I have a clever title once again :) Oh how I love the cleverness of it all. So how was my week?? you may be wondering. It was pretty wonderful, yet at the same time awful. You see I have been sick with some kind of virus for the entirety of the week and it truly stinks, but the good news is, I feel A LOT better today! :) Yay me! Ok so here is my week broken down:

Monday: I dont really remember much about my monday. I am sure it was fairly eventful. I woke up at 3 in the morning to take my daddy to the airport for his trip to Haiti and I did go to Bible Study which was AWESOME as usual, but I missed my Hannah :( Oh and then I skipped out on working out with Ericka because frankly, I didnt feel all to well as I explained earlier.

Tuesday: Long, boring, and uneventful. Oh wait take that back... it was eventful, but I cannot reveal why. That would cause drama and just be pretty pointless :)

Wednesday: So me, Whitt, Ericka, Jake, and Caleb made our way to Denton for a college day. It was pretty much a wonderful day. We first made our way to Which Wich (only after a quick stop at Belk) which Whitt had been craving for quite some time. We then headed over to the lovely town of Denton where we made a quick stop at the mall and tried on clothes. Oh and I met with my boyfriend again. He was in a much cuter outfit this time and he now has arms!!! :) Oh and Ericka got to see her new boyfriend too. He is quite the hottie! According to her that is. :) Then we went on a fairly uneventful tour of UNT and made our way to fort worth to try on some amazing prom dresses (not the guys idea of a fun time). And finally, we made it to the best place of all: On the Border, where we had like 5 different waiters. I think they just didnt like us or something. Epic.

Thursday: Home. Sick. The end. Oh did I mention my friends broke into my house and wrote on my mirrors while I was gone???

Friday: School. No whitney. Sad. Home. Movies. The Proposal. Amazing.

Saturday (today): So I spent the morning doing my lovely government, then around 12:45 Whitt and the guys (Nick, Kyle, and Johnny Boy) showed up at my house. The boys were a bit early, but it was ok. I had to fix Whitt's hair, but they were very easily entertained with the piano in the house. Epic. When Rosie and Ericka finally made it to the house around 1, we headed out to eat at Montanas. Very good. We then took bathroom pictures and made our way to the beach for a short walk and then the park. Seesaw=amazing. Not gonna lie. However, the park we were at just wasnt good enough for our amazingness, so we headed over to the city park. I love the tire swing. Epic. Then it was time for a little icecream where we were greeted by Sparky. at around 6 we made our way back to mi casa where the Nick, Rose, Ericka, and Johnny Boy entertained us with some fantastic piano playing and singing. Then we girls sang our little song. After the group left, Rose and I made our way to the rodeo with the rest of the family. It was pretty sweet. It's been a long time since I have had anything to do with animals, and forever since I have been to a rodeo. :)

Well that is all for now. I would put up more pictures, but I am too lazy. Next time. :)

Spanish word of the day: Adios! :)
