Footprints in the dirt

It has been over a week since my last blog... sad. But its all good because I shall explain my last week in this one blog. Let me start with my yesterday:
After taking my sickly little kitty cat to the vet in the morning, my Aunt Sharon and my awesomeness cousin Rosie, picked me up to do a little prom dress shopping. It was pretty awesome, not gonna lie. I found a couple dresses that I was rather fond of, but unfortunately they were a bit out of my budget (I guess I have expensive taste) :/ But anyways, even though I didnt get a dress of my own, I had a pretty epic day with the Cuz :)
Ok, now to explain my absolutely perfect vacation:

Friday: We left in the very early morning to drive to the airport, where we grabbed some starbucks (of course) and hopped on a plane headed to Arizona. Once we arrived at our destination, we made our way some food: Fudruckers in this case, where we stuffed our faces with delicious hamburgers and took some pretty epic pictures.

Me and Nat
Aren't they just so cute together?? :)
We then made our way to walmart:

I had been desperately in search of some Circus Animals because Ericka has been torturing me for weeks telling me how amazing they are. Unfortunately, they only had a ginormous bag of the delicious cookies, so I had to leave without them (hence the sad face).
After the epic walmart experience, we headed over to the mall where me and Nat got to try on some pretty dresses.

Finally, we made our way to my Aunt Cherie and Uncle John's house to eat some delicious food and settle in for the week.

Saturday: After spending a relaxing morning taking our time getting ready for the day, we went with Uncle John to explore a bit.

This is probably on the top ten of my list of favorite pictures we took.
Along our little walk down the trail to see the San Francisco Peaks, we took some pretty awesome pictures, of which this is one.

God has really blessed me with a pretty awesome sister. I have no complaints :)
I truly love this picture as well. Do let me explain: It all started with season 8 of American Idol (the most amazing show ever!) and a contestant named Danny. We call this face the "Danny face." You can pretty much only understand if you are or have at one time been an American Idol addict. "Somebody's not likin' it!" - Danny
Later that day we made our way with Aunt Cherie to the marvelous city of Jerome.

One of the older buildings in Jerome.
While we were there we got to watch a glassblower make a pear. It was really pretty epic.
Oh and then we got some amazing fudge :)
And headed back to the house as we watched the sun fade into the mountains. It was breathtaking.
Sunday: As any other Sunday goes, we went to church with my Aunt and Uncle and afterwards made our way to some of Aunt Cherie's close friends.

They had two basset hounds that were just oh so adorable.
It made me miss my little puppy waiting for me back home.... (luckily, I now have him with me again) :)
We were first served delicious horderves (not quite sure of the spelling of that)..
Then the main dish: Paella. Never before have I tasted anything so delicious... it was truly amazing. :)
Monday: The four of us made our way up to the city of Flagstaff, where the San Franciscan Peaks are. After taking a detour on accident, due to the GPS, and going more than an hour out of our way, we arrived in the snow covered city just in time for some lunch.

World's best pizza:
We then visited the town mansion, which is now a state park. It is over 18,000 square feet and absolutely gorgeous.

Tuesday: We drove to the town of the Red Rocks (Sedona) where we first stopped at the Sliding Rocks State Park. Basically it is a part of a canon that consists of large boulders in the water that you can slide down the river on... We did not get in the water, however, because it was a bit too chilly for that, but we did walk around the edges on the boulders and took quite a few amazing pictures.

After a quick lunch break, we decided to go on a little hike up the mountain. There were only a couple trails to choose from close to the airport and we were going to walk the shortest one. Well somehow or another we ended up on the longest one (4 1/2 miles, with some serious incline). Being unprepared as we were, we had no water with us and we had no clue just how long the trail was we were on. Needless to say I almost stole some water from some older ladies we passed on the way... :)

The terrain we walked on during our hike.
I must say that even though the hike was difficult at times, the view at the top of the mountain was incredible and made the trip worth every bit of pain it caused.
Wednesday: Time for some real scenery at the Grand Canyon (not my favorite place, but it is still beautiful). This is the first time I have seen it with snow and let me tell you, it made it even prettier than before.

See what I mean?
We saw a little squirrel :)
You can't tell me that is not breathtaking.
Thursday: After a bit of a crisis at the house, us girlies made our way to the square of Prescott (where we had been staying) to do a little souvenir shopping. After we had found all the gifts we were after, we headed back to the house to make the snacks for our party that night. Thursday night was pretty much the best. I love meeting new people and hearing all the interesting stories they have to tell.

Friday: It was time to make our way home after the most amazing vacation ever through a very angry storm (we had quite a bit of turbulence). It is good to be home, but I miss my amazing relatives. I can't wait to make my way back to Arizona again... maybe this time on a road trip??

Spanish word of the day: Hablidades (skills)

Quote of the day: "Two brunettes and a blonde with an inseperable bond" - Whitney. Needless to say I miss my two best friends and can not WAIT to see them tomorrow! :)

Scripture of the day: "For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise." - James 3:12
I love church. It's such a good way to start off the week. :)
